This book chronicles the first of many adventures with Bob, a harengon gardener, and his unlikely companions: a pair of flumphs named Grem and Beebo. Together, the three of them have ventured forth into the Underdark, in search of the flumphs’ true parents. With danger around every corner, their bravery and cunning will be tested beyond anything Bob’s cozy little corner of the world could have ever prepared them for.

Bob Fallows would have been content to spend his whole life tending to his garden in peace. But life had other plans; and when a pair of abandoned youngling flumphs were left outside his door, the harengon became both a sudden caretaker, and a sudden adventurer. Now, the three of them roam the realms together, inseparable and curious and eager to find answers. Perhaps one day, the flumphs can be returned ot their proper community. But until then, Bob is happy to be their adoptive parent. And he’ll be documenting every step of their journey along the way.
